Madonna a vision for Versace
Madonna finds it "exciting" she's fronting the Spring/Summer 15 campaign for Versace.
The 56-year-old star has been scooped up by the brand to replace fellow musician Lady Gaga to front its advertisements. It will be the third time Madonna has posed for Versace, previously being shot by Steven Meisel in 1995 and Mario Testino ten years later.
This time around she has been captured by photographer duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott in New York in a series of classy black-and-white shots.
Three images have been released of Madonna; one picture sees her in a dark leather-like dress with circle patterns and cut-outs as she sits on a chair, a bag slung on her left arm and a serious look on her face.
Madonna chose to share this photo on Instagram, captioning the sultry photo: "Versace Versace Versace! @versace #werkingb***h (sic)".
In another, Madonna bites her thumb in a suggestive way while showing off a gorgeous watch and several rings, appearing to wear a dark bodycon dress. Finally, the third picture reveals more of her fabulous figure as she strikes a pose in a black-and-gold one-strap top and matching bottoms. For this image she has her eyes closed and lips slightly parted.
Speaking about her new stint, Madonna shared her delight at being chosen by Donatella Versace herself.
"It’s always exciting to be dressed head-to-toe in Versace and experience first-hand Donatella’s vivid imagination and passion that she has created for this collection," the singer said in a statement.
In return, Donatella gushed: "Madonna is one of the true icons of Versace. I am thrilled to have my friend and the most powerful and directional artist as the face of Versace for Spring 2015."
