Madonna: David dressed me
Madonna "obeyed" her son David's style advice at the Grammy Awards last night.
The popstar has adopted children David and Mercy and biological kids Lourdes and Rocco.
At the Grammy Awards last night the 55-year-old rocked a large black hat and suit, which matched David's, who joined her at the event.
"For this look, I followed his lead. He dressed me tonight," she revealed to E! News. "He wanted me to dress like him, so I obeyed him."
"We're both working the Ralph Lauren angle."
To match her tuxedo, Madonna wore a smart white shirt with a black tie and added some glitz with a shiny silver fingerless glove on one had.
She also carried a black stick and added a pop of colour with bright red lips.
Madonna is known for her youthful styling, which often includes grills on her teeth.
"Yeah, I'm grillin'. It p**ses everybody off when I wear my grill, so that's why I wear it," she joked, before adding: "[I wear it] when it matches my outfit. When I don't have to eat. Actually, I've learned to eat with my grill in."
However, David hasn't yet been allowed to wear the shiny mouth accessory.
"She said she'd get me grills for this birthday," he complained.
Madonna added: "I know, but we haven't had time. We have to go to the dentist to get a mould!"
The singer took to the stage to perform Same Love with Macklemore, while more than 30 couples - many same-sex - were married live.
It had to be a special performance for Madonna to get involved.
"I wouldn't do any old song with any old artist, but I feel like history is going to be made tonight," she explained. "So I want to be part of that."
