Madonna's 'steamy shoot shames son'
Madonna’s son is apparently embarrassed by her sexy shoot for Interview magazine.
The 56-year-old singer sent shockwaves reverberating around the world last week when she appeared in a series of raunchy photos for the high-fashion publication. The pictures were taken by famed duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott and while many liked them, it’s claimed Madonna’s 14-year-old son Rocco – whose father is her ex-husband Guy Ritchie – wasn’t so impressed.
“Rocco is mortified that his mum is still doing topless photoshoots,” an insider told British magazine Heat.
However, that’s not the case for Madonna’s 18-year-old daughter Lourdes. The teenager, who is called Lola by her superstar mother, is said to be delighted with the image that have been winging their way around the globe. Apparently Lourdes believes they set a great example for other girls her age and hopes to be just like her mother when she’s older.
“Lola thinks it’s rad that her mom flaunts her stuff. Lola sees it as being all about feminism, and celebrating strong women and the female form. She is trying to convince Madonna to come speak at one of her college lectures, covering women’s evolving image in pop culture. Lola couldn’t be prouder and she tells Rocco to chill out,” the source said.
Rocco isn’t the only one to be unsure of his mom’s shoot though. Shortly after the pictures hit the web, singer Annie Lennox questioned them.
“I did get things off occasionally, but not to that extent. I don't think it's down to me [to judge Madonna],” she said on UK TV show Loose Women.
“I think already the verdict is probably out. Would you not agree on that one? I think the question is, 'What is Madonna telling us?’ Anybody know?"
