Margot Robbie has been selected as the face of Calvin Klein's new fragrance, named Deep Euphoria.

Calvin Klein has tapped Margot Robbie to be the face of their latest fragrance campaign.

The Australian-born actress will front the imagery for the soon to be launched women's perfume Deep Euphoria.

Deep Euphoria, the third in the Euphoria range, is described by Calvin Klein as the "more modern, empowered sister" of the existing fragrances and is set to be released in August (16).

Chief marketing officer for Calvin Klein, Melisa Goldie, said that Margot was a natural fit for the campaign as she embodies modern femininity. It will be the first time the Wolf of Wall Street starlet has appeared in a fragrance campaign.

"Her beauty and talent is an expression of the incredible legacy of women who have been captured in Calvin Klein campaigns over the years," shared Melisa.

The original Euphoria debuted in 2005, with a follow-up, Endless Euphoria, nine years later. Russian supermodel Natalia Vodianova was the face of the first Euphoria campaign and Hungarian model Vanessa Axente the brand ambassador for Endless Euphoria.

The 25-year-old actress hosted a dinner on Tuesday night (03May16) in New York at the Calvin Klein Collection store to celebrate the new scent.

It's been a very fashionable week for Margot who also attended the Costume Institute Gala 2016 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday (02May16). Dressed in a snowy white silk crepe Calvin Klein strapless dress with cutouts, the blonde beauty wore her tresses straight and accessorised with a pair of gold cuffs, diamond stud earrings and a small black clutch bag.

Margot is set to hit the road over the next few months to promote two of her major films which are set to be released this summer. She stars as Jane Porter in the highly anticipated action-adventure The Legend of Tarzan as well as crazed super villain Harley Quinn in DC Comics' Suicide Squad.
