Mark Ruffalo talks love and jewellery

Mark Ruffalo believes all men are under the spell of the women they love.

The actor is the face of Solange Azagury-Partridge's first jewellery collection dedicated to men, Alpha. Mark stars in a sexy mini movie for the line and believes it represents the essence of most relationships.

"[It's] the truth," he told "Almost every alpha male is super-sentimental and under the spell of the one he loves.”

His take certainly explains the nature of the film, which is a twist on the tale of a macho male arriving home from a night on the town. He slowly, sexily removes his bow tie, dress shirt, and Alpha jewellery before opening the door to the bedroom and being thrown back out in a pink dressing gown with a pillow under his arm.

For Solange, she believes sexual politics is at the essence of the story.

"[It's] how you are bound together as a couple," she said.

This view is reflected in the collection itself, which consists of knotted, twisted and even blackened rings, bangles, and pendants.

Solange has always liked to tell stories through the jewellery she designs. Then once she has a collection ready, she likes to translate that story into a short film.

Thandie Newton, Liberty Ross, and Laura Bailey have all taken turns for Azagury-Partridge, but Mark is the first male to get the chance to take on the task for his friend.

"For my pal @SolangeAzagury fashion film starring @MarkRuffalo (sic)" he tweeted in support of the film's release.
