Mary Katrantzou: I'm enjoying my success

Mary Katrantzou is delighted she's been able to stop "sleeping on the floor" now her business is doing well.

The fashion designer was handed the emerging talent prize at the British Fashion Awards at the end of last year, topping off a stellar 2011 for the star.

Her Spring/Summer 12 collection went down well with industry professionals, but she isn't letting things go to her head.

Mary just feels lucky that she can stop working quite so hard now.

"Well it is expanding but it doesn't mean you yourself get to keep that money! So I haven't bought myself a present, but I have stopped sleeping on the floor! That is my present to myself!" she laughed.

"So now I go home instead! Well, I think I will go home, but I've never been able to go home for a Fashion Week - so maybe this will be the first one!"

Mary is collaborating with Topshop on a new range this year. She is delighted with what she's come up with so far and is now just putting the finishing touches on the items.

"Well, some of the dresses are very daring. We've got a take on our bowl skirts and for the daring Topshop girls, who are into layering print on print and so on, and for the not so daring girls we are doing sweaters and T-shirts and all sorts of things like that," she told GraziaDaily.co.uk.

"It's a big range. Well, it's a ten piece range. It's definitely the most exciting range we've done for Topshop."
