MaxMara store bosses must know clients
MaxMara store managers have to be able to name at least 20 of their customers.
Maria Giulia Prezioso Maramotti is the third generation of her family to work for the luxury fashion brand. She's the niece of the firm's CEO Luigi Maramotti and is the regional manager in North America.
Customer is key to Maria Giulia, something she ensures all her staff know.
"My store managers have to be able to reel off at least 20 of their customers by heart. Fashion has to have a personal element now," she explained.
Although Maria Giulia's parents never pushed her to follow them into the industry, she's always been interested in fashion. She cites her mother as one of her main inspirations, explaining she's taught her a lot of style tips.
"My mother has influenced my style; she has a very straight concept of fashion. She likes real investment pieces - and always jackets! She impressed on me that to be elegant you have to be coherent in your lifestyle and avoid under or over-dressing," she told the British edition of Vogue magazine.
