Maya Rudolph tapped to star in Kenzo's new campaign
Maya Rudolph, Fred Armisen, Matt Lucas and Macaulay Culkin are among the stars to appear in Kenzo's upcoming fashion film.
Maya Rudolph has been tapped to front the campaign for Kenzo's fall/winter 2017 collection.
The actress is known for her comedy skills, having been a cast member on NBC's Saturday Night Live for seven years and performing in movies such as Grown Ups, 50 First Dates, and Bridesmaids.
But for her latest project, Maya is trying out her modelling skills, with Kenzo creative directors Humberto Leon and Carol Lim casting her in a key role for the French luxury brand's upcoming marketing imagery.
In photos snapped by Danish photographer Casper Sejersen, the 44-year-old is seen posing in a navy blue coat which is belted at the waist, paired with black, blue and yellow knee-high boots.
In another image released by the label, Maya's SNL co-star Fred Armisen also appears and is seen slouching in an abandoned warehouse sporting a black and blue suit, accessorised with edgy grey and green boots.
As well as starring in key images, Maya and Fred also appear in a complementary fashion film helmed by Orange Is the New Black actress Natasha Lyonne, which will also feature Greta Lee, James Ransone, Matt Lucas, Macaulay Culkin, Waris Ahluwalia and Leslie Odom Jr.
Marking Natasha's directorial debut, the short film is titled Cabiria, Charity, Chastity and follows Maya as Chastity, who goes on "a surreal journey through a parallel plane, as she discovers that in order to face her future, she must first reconcile her Vaudevillian past".
In previous campaigns, Kenzo has cast a diverse range of Hollywood faces, including the likes of Mahershala Ali, Jesse Williams, and Tracee Ellis Ross.
Cabiria, Charity, Chastity will be released on Kenzo's website in September (17).
