Meghan Trainor: I rock snow white skin
Meghan Trainor wishes she could approve every magazine shoot before it gets released.
The All About That Bass singer has a pretty iconic look, consisting of her famous curves, fair complexion and bright blonde hair.
Just like most other stars, Meghan has to deal with the PhotoShop culture, which means her magazine shoots are often altered. It’s something that really bothers the 21-year-old.
“They won’t let me see photos before they are released. It kills me. I’ve asked about 100 times,” she sighed to You magazine.
“One photo was altered so I looked tanned and I was angry because I love my snow-white skin – I rock it. There are a few covers coming out that I’m frightened about. I’ve said, ‘Do you think Beyoncé releases a picture she hasn’t approved?’ They shoot me down. I think they’re lying.”
All About That Bass has become the anthem for the curvy girl, celebrating healthy bodies and slamming the need to be stick-thin. Meghan reiterates that she has no problem with slim frames but that she just simply can’t pull of the outfits other popstars reach for.
“I don’t like exposing my private areas,” she explained. “When it comes to clothes, from day one I said I would not wear a bathing suit on stage. Beyoncé rocks them, she looks great, but that isn’t me. I pick everything I put on my body.”
Now that she’s such a big hit, designers are clamouring to dress Meghan. However, the idea fills her with dread.
“I know one designer who wanted to build a dress for me, I think his name is Zac [Posen]. The entire thing scared me,” she shuddered.
