Michelle Monaghan: Thigh-high boots are so major
Michelle Monaghan has gushed over her six-year-old daughter Willow’s “pink” taste in fashion.
(Cover) - EN Star Style - Michelle Monaghan can’t get over the “major” thigh-high boots she owns, which were created by designer Joseph Altuzarra.
The 39-year-old Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol actress is a huge fan of Altuzarra’s work and his was the only New York Fashion Week show she attended this month (Sept15).
She wore a pair of lace thigh-high boots to the showing of his debut handbag collection and Michelle is amazed with the designer’s creations.
“They’re so major. I just found out they’re called the Dreambox,” she gushed to WWD about her sexy shoes. “I love that he’s getting into accessories now, by the way, because clearly he knows what he’s doing.”
Altuzarra’s premiere collection of satchels are filled with creative flair, as the bags contain bull rope embellishments as well as golden cigarette lighters.
Although Altuzarra is definitely one of Michelle’s favourite designers, her love of fashion doesn’t end with his work.
The 67th Primetime Emmy Awards took place in Los Angeles on Sunday 20 September (15). And even though Michelle is keen on staying abreast of news related to her industry, the actress admits she mostly watches awards show for the gorgeous clothing.
“I started watching [the Emmys], of course, for the red carpet because it’s something I love to do with my daughter,” she smiled. “We love to look at the dresses and that’s sort of my favourite part of it.”
Michelle and daughter Willow Katherine differ tremendously when it comes to clothing taste. While the famous matriarch selected Kerry Washington in Marc Jacobs, Claire Danes in Prada and Jaimie Alexander in Armani Privé as part of her favourite looks from this year’s Emmys, her six-year-old offspring chose attire with a distinct hue.
“She loved Elisabeth Moss with the pink dress and she loved Giuliana Rancic’s dress, it was a pink dress that had lots of beading on it,” Michelle said. “So…pink!”
