Michelle Trachtenberg: I had terrible style

Michelle Trachtenberg has owned up to a less-than-glamorous fashion past.

The American actress is well known for her designer outfits and perfectly put together look. However, the stunning star has revealed that it took her a while to learn the basic fashion rules.

"I've had a few fashion mishaps," Michelle admitted to US Weekly. "They were mostly when I was a kid. I used to wear a lot of crushed velvet and all leopard ensembles.

"I've now learned that one accessory can pop."

Michelle shot to fame after playing Sarah Michelle Gellar's younger sister, Dawn, in the hit TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

A few years on, the gorgeous star now knows her fashion staples and cites Marchesa as her favourite designer to wear when hitting the red carpet.

The luxury label was established in 2004 by British designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig. They have become known for their feminine shapes and have dressed the likes of Cameron Diaz, Halle Berry and Jennifer Lopez.

Michelle loves the design duo's glamorous attire.

"They bring like 10 dresses over to my house" exclaimed the actress. "The first two are always perfect and always fit and never need any alterations. I like a seamless fitting."

Taraji P. Henson also revealed an embarrassing fashion faux pas. The Emmy-nominated actress looked fabulous in a plunging lace dress, but she admitted it's not always easy prepping for red carpet events.

"I wore this dress to the Critics' Choice Awards and my boobs were hanging out of it," she recalled. "It was too small up top...I tried it on it the store but it was a different fit out on the carpet."
