Mila Kunis had 'breakthrough' gown
Mila Kunis' 2011 Oscar dress was a "breakthrough" says Petra Flannery.
The stylist is well known for dressing some of the most beautiful women in Hollywood such as Leighton Meester and Hayden Panettiere.
She was thrilled when she was asked to dress Mila for the Academy Awards last year.
"This was such a breakthrough for Mila, I wanted her looking her best," she told the UK edition of Marie Claire.
The star was attending the awards following her performance in ballet drama Black Swan. Petra took some inspiration from the movie.
Mila wore a lavender chiffon gown with tiered lace detailing from Elie Saab Haute Couture.
The look was then completed with Neil Lane jewellery and a Bottega Veneta clutch.
"Black Swan is a ballet movie and Mila is very feminine. I looked at the Elie Saab Couture collections as soon as they hit because there's a sensibility to them that's very feminine," Petra explained. "Lavender is a unique colour that really suits Mila's complexion."
