Miley Cyrus would never just "slap [her] name" on a fashion collection.
The singer-and-actress has a strong sense of style, which often divides opinion. She loves to experiment with clothes and accessories and is even considering branching out to create her own pieces.
"Making real stuff with high quality,” she told the October issue of Harper's Bazaar magazine. “Not quantity. But not until I know I can give it 120 percent. I don’t want to just slap my name on something.”
Miley has ditched her usual punk look for the front cover of the publication. She poses in an elegant black dress, in a shot taken by her photographer pal Terry Richardson.
The 20-year-old also spoke about her collection with Walmart, which was released while she was still a clean-cut Disney star. She admits the finished product left her a bit disappointed.
“I went in there and saw, like, a puppy on a T-shirt. I was like, ‘This is not what I wanted.’ I wanted skinny jeans, I wanted to bless Walmart with jeggings!” Miley laughed.
The star went on to address critics of her fashion sense. She doesn't care if people think her flesh-baring outfits are too risqué for some people.
“I feel like every girl is trying to have a beauty shot and prove that they’re ‘fashion'. But I can be in white leggings and a white sports bra and I’m on a whole other level of sh*t that those girls don’t even get yet because they don’t know how to do it,” she argued.
Miley also brushed off the reaction caused by her drastic hair cut last year.
"It changed everyone else’s life more than it changed mine,” the star said.
Miley recently revealed she is tired of having short hair and is desperate to grow it again.
