Naomi Watts' chic style explained

Naomi Watts' stylist has shared how she creates her chic and streamlined style.

The actress is dressed by celebrity style advisor Jeanann Williams, who is responsible for crafting over 150 looks worn by Naomi.

She says the first rule of ensuring you always look good is to use a good tailor.

“You have to customise each look to make it work for your measurements and height,” she explained to PEOPLE.“When dressing clients for the red carpet I always look at the runway image. If my client is 5’5″ like Naomi, I know I’ll need to take the hem up 4 inches.”

Naomi showed off another of Jeanann's style rules earlier this week when she attended the Up2Us Gala looking chic.

The star stuck to neutral shades, and teamed a pair of classic pumps with a below the knee Burberry leather skirt and embellished top.

“If a skirt hits below the knee, do not wear a heel with an ankle strap,” Jeanann explained about what her clients always avoid. “It chops off the leg. Instead elongate with a pump.”

Jeanann says her true secret weapon is breast enhancement pads to give a more fuller shape to the bust.

She also advises that less is always more when it comes to accessories.

“Undergarments, like Spanx, smooth everything out. Silicone petals for the breasts. We use these all the time," she shared.

“If the dress is dazzling with jewels then go barely-there on the accessories and let the dress be the focus. Don’t overdo it, over-the-top is no good.”
