A blissfully happy Eva Longoria has showed off her new blonde highlights while posing on the red carpet at the opening night of the Los Angeles Film Festival.

Eva Longoria has debuted a glamorous new hairstyle at a red carpet event.

The actress and producer celebrated the opening night of the Los Angeles Film Festival in Hollywood, where her new film Lowriders premiered at the ArcLight Hollywood theatre on Wednesday evening (01Jun16).

It was her first appearance since she married Jose Antonio Baston in Valle de Bravo, Mexico last month (21May16).

Just back from her honeymoon in Cambodia, the Golden Globe-nominated star looked radiant in a strapless black dress by Vatanika, which she accessorised with matching Azzedine Alaia sandals.

Hours before the event, the 41-year-old stopped by her hairstylist friend Ken Paves' salon in Los Angeles to freshen up her signature brunette locks.

Taking to Instagram, Eva posted a snap of her listening to music on her iPhone while a group of stylists applied hair dye to her tresses.

"Back to reality! #WorkWorkWork," Eva captioned her photo referencing Rihanna's chart-topping song. Ken also got in on the action, posting a shot of Eva's newly blonde hairstyle while she stood surrounded by her "glam squad".

"Glam Squad in full force with the new and improved Mrs. Baston," the celebrity hairstylist wrote.

For her wedding, Eva walked down the aisle and said her "I do’s" wearing a custom wedding gown designed by her long-time friend Victoria Beckham. The nuptials boasted a star-studded guest list, including Victoria's soccer star husband David, Ricky Martin, Mario Lopez and Melanie Griffith.

And Eva admits it was a struggle to keep details secret in the weeks before her special day.

"We were trying!" the former Desperate Housewives star told Entertainment Tonight. "It was a very small wedding, so it was very close family and friends. It was easy not to have a leak when it's your closest friends."
