Nicki Minaj striking in stripes at MAC launch

Nicki Minaj looked striking in stripes at the launch of her MAC Viva Glam campaign.

The female rapping sensation is the latest celebrity to lend her famous face to the make-up giant's philanthropic cause. Alongside fellow musician Ricky Martin, the Pink Friday star will be promoting the latest Viva Glam beauty product range.

Nicki chose a pink and blue striped fitted costume for the candy-themed launch party at New York venue Stage 37.

The 29-year-old added lashings of gold and pastel-coloured bangles, gold hoop earrings and an oversized ring to the outfit.

Her bleached blonde mane was styled into a bouffant do - a retro look accentuated by fluttery false eyelashes and her own shade of bright pink MAC lipstick.

Co-campaigner Ricky Martin looked sleek in a sharp black suit teamed with a white shirt and graphic print tie.

Kelly Osbourne also attended the glitzy New York bash. The TV star opted for a sleek wet-look mini dress in black, teamed with purple patent high heels.

Her currently purple hair fitted perfectly with sugary-hued party theme.

"When I was chosen by MAC cosmetics to be the next Viva Glam spokesperson, I wanted to hug everyone that worked at MAC for giving me this opportunity. I've always wanted to be a Viva Glam girl," Nicki is quoted as saying by British newspaper The Daily Mail.

Ricky added: "I am very honoured to be chosen as the first Latin man to be a spokesperson for this beautiful cause," he said. "We want to talk about things that really matter, and obviously HIV/AIDS is one of those - and in my case, HIV/AIDS and the cure for kids with HIV."

The iconic campaign has previously been fronted by the likes of Pamela Anderson and Lady Gaga and supports HIV/AIDS charities by donating all profits of its products.
