Nicola Formichetti to 'live-stream show'

Nicola Formichetti is live-streaming preparations of his next runway show.

The creative director of French fashion house Thierry Mugler is keen to show style fans the inner workings of his label.

He is due to show off his latest menswear collection in Milan on Wednesday, but wants to get people involved before then.

According to WWD, he will start a live stream this afternoon. It will take in the fittings which will happen later today, as well as some discussions about final preparations for the presentation.

"The broadcast is to start at 3 p.m. CET on Monday with fittings, followed by a guest-list check and a music meeting. What's more, Formichetti is inviting the online community to crowd source and shape the show and collection via Facebook and Twitter," reports the publication.

The catwalk display is due to happen at 6pm on Wednesday, although the stream won't end there. There will also be a de-brief shown and a look at the label's showroom.

Nicola is well known for his work with Lady Gaga and has even used her in his women's displays in the past. He is currently thought to be working on his own line, although he has declined to speak about it too much.
