Nicole Richie excited about QVC line

Nicole Richie says working with QVC on a fashion line is an "incredible opportunity".

The reality TV star-turned-designer has created The Nicole Richie Collection for the television shopping channel.

The stunning star couldn't be more thrilled about the project.

"I am so excited to work with QVC. To be able to be in 96 million homes is such an incredible opportunity and I'm extremely excited to reach such a broad audience and actually really looking forward to interacting with my customers live on TV," she gushed to ET Online.

"That's something I've never done before, so I'm very excited."

Nicole is famed for her boho look, and has lent her signature style to the collection. The mother-of-two says the line is chic and affordable, making it accessible to a wide range of fashionistas.

"My inspiration for the Nicole Richie collection is bohemian chic, feminine, delicate," she explained. "I want women to feel like they're having top style without paying top dollar. The entire collection ranges from $75 to $275."

Nicole gave an exclusive preview of the collection. The star showed a couple of pretty maxi dresses and explained the idea behind the pieces.

"These I designed for a woman who wants to just go into her closet with her eyes closed and just pick one thing. Have that one piece to be the statement piece," she said.

Nicole already has two fashion ranges. She launched accessories line House of Harlow 1960, in 2008, and in 2010 it was extended to include apparel and shoes.

Nicole expanded her business with a women's line called Winter Kate - her daughter's two middle names.
