Nicole Richie reportedly looks up to slim Victoria Beckham and her “steely determination”.

The reality TV star and the designer are both known for their petite figures and have been criticised for being too slim in the past.

Nicole put on weight after giving birth to her children Harlow and Sparrow, but was snapped looking very thin during Paris Fashion Week.

The 31-year-old is reportedly looking to her designer pal for inspiration.

“Nicole really looks up to Victoria and has been awed by her steely determination to take over the fashion world. She knows that to be a fashionista, she needs to look the part,” a source explained to British magazine Closer.

“So, before Paris Fashion Week, she was in the gym five times a week. She works out with Tracy Anderson and has been living on protein shakes, juices and sushi. She’s dropped around eight 8lbs. from her already tiny frame and is now just over 98lbs. The boob job she had in 2011 is the only thing that gives her curves.”

Nicole is married to Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden, who she shares her two kids with.

The singer has been busy touring with his brother Benji recently, which is apparently another reason the socialite has been skipping meals.

“Nicole loses her appetite when stressed and upset,” a friend revealed.

“She doesn’t like being in a long-distance marriage and it’s taking its toll.”
