Nina Dobrev relies on post-Coachella spa day to recover
Nina Dobrev walked 22 miles during one weekend at the Coachella music festival.
Nina Dobrev checks into a day spa in Los Angeles to recover from Coachella.
Former The Vampire Diaries star Nina was just one of the faces at the Californian event, which runs over two weeks in Indio.
And while Nina loved every second of the festival, she admits it takes some time to recover afterwards.
“I go to Korean day spas in L.A,” she told W Magazine. “I check myself in as though I’m checking myself into rehab! I do steam room, cold pool, sauna, cold pool, steam room, cold pool - that four times. And then I get acupuncture massages. I lay there comatose for a while. I just try to get everything out of my system and relax.
"Coachella is all about detox and re-tox.”
Another of Nina’s Coachella tips is to get up and out as early as possible when you’re done there.
"First of all, I left super early in the morning to avoid traffic," she said when recalling her detox routine. "That’s part of the detox because sitting in the car hungover is the worst.”
While most celebrities choose to attend one weekend or the other, Nina opted to go to both. And while doing that was tiring, it also had its benefits – of the calorie-burning kind.
“I logged my steps from last weekend and I think we did seven miles the first day, eight miles the second day, and then seven miles the last," she said as she was interviewed on the last day of the second weekend. “We didn’t even go for the full days - that’s just like, 7pm until midnight."
