Olivia Munn extols benefits of daily exfoliation
Actress Olivia Munn has worked with make-up artist Patrick Ta to figure out exactly how to highlight her bone structure.
Olivia Munn is a big believer in daily exfoliation when it comes to her skincare routine.
The Newsroom actress launched her Hollywood career back in 2006, and has gone on to build a reputation for her flawless complexion and playful red carpet looks.
When it comes to her daily beauty regime, Olivia likes to use only a couple of products, but an exfoliator is always at the top of her list.
"I exfoliate every day... Not always with a product, but with a face brush I use with my regular face wash," she told Racked.com. "Someone told me this a while back, and it makes a lot of sense: If you look at men, they don't ever get wrinkles around their lips - because they shave. So, they're basically constantly exfoliating."
Olivia, 36, believes that by buffing away dead skin, she also boosts collagen growth. The Proactiv brand ambassador also swears by using a three-step skincare programme, as well as sunscreen.
"I put on sunscreen - that's very important - and I reapply it throughout the day. I think a lot of people don't realise that your sunscreen wears off over the course of the day!" she shared.
When it comes to beauty products, Olivia tends to emphasis her cheeks and lips rather than her eyes. And the brunette beauty has spent a long time working with make-up artist Patrick Ta to figure out exactly what parts of her face she should highlight with cosmetics.
"Being multi-ethnic, being Chinese-American, my bone structure is different. And with the wrong make-up, my eyes can completely disappear! Like, putting highlighter between the eyes looks really pretty on a lot of people, but it makes me look cross-eyed. And too much make-up on my cheekbones makes my cheeks look huge. It's weird little things like that," said Olivia.
