Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen showed off their latest Fall/Winter 13 line from affordable range Elizabeth and James yesterday.
The Hollywood stars-turned-design duo showed off their latest Fall/Winter 13 range that featured highly-wearable pieces including muted-coloured jumpers and smart cropped trousers.
Talking about the inspiration behind the new pieces Ashley revealed: "We were thinking about what our girl’s closet would look like and what she would want added to it.”
Models strutted down the catwalk in slightly oversized sweaters that were teamed with slim-fitting trousers for a chic smart casual feel.
Outfits were teamed with patent-leather loafers for an edgy look, while trench coats and outsized jackets - which added a splash of colour in the way of a coral buttoned-up coat - also featured.
One look stood out from the particularly muted colour palette on offer. A red lace mid-length slim skirt was paired with a matching coloured quilted jacket, which was worn with laced-up patent black boots.
The Elizabeth and James runway collection also gave fashion fans the first peek at the stars' new affordable handbag collection.
There were five styles in total, ranging from a clutch bag to a backpack, with the retail price point of $295 being a more modest option to the Olsens' more eye-watering prices they are well known for.
Meanwhile, Madonna’s toyboy boyfriend Brahim Zaibat, 25, made his runway debut yesterday afternoon at Jeremy Scott’s Fashion Week offering.
Madonna herself was not present at the catwalk show, despite speculation that she would grace the front row.
Gossip blogger Perez Hilton and Leigh Lezark were spotted taking in Scott's newest collection though.
There was host of famous faces front row at New York Fashion Week yesterday. Miley Cyrus was in attendance at Marchesa's show, wearing a form-fitting cream outfit from the line.
The country songstress also discussed her view of Rachel Zoe's newest Fashion Week offering, which she'd attended earlier in the day.
"It was very my style. Sometimes it’s hard to find things that look punky but don’t look too girly but still look, like, nice. It wasn’t too thrifty but it was still kind of punk," she explained.
Zoe Saldana set in the front row of Michael Kors’ presentation at Lincoln Center this week, where she was seen chatting to Jada Pinkett Smith and her daughter Willow.
Michael Douglas was also in attendance.
Katherine Heigl stepped out showing off her gorgeous curves in a form-fitting floral dress as she attended the J. Mendel fashion show at the Lincoln Center.
The blonde star - who teamed the outfit with neon pink Christian Louboutins - sat front row with Victoria's Secret model Jessica Hart.
