Paltrow prefers simple make-up
Gwyneth Paltrow isn't a risk taker with her red carpet make-up look.
The face of Max Factor has opened up about her preferred look in a new video for the cosmeticsw brand.
The 39-year-old actress, who always sports a glowing complexion and often painted red lips, has admitted that her low-key Hollywood look is what she feels most comfortable with.
"I never go crazily over the top with make-up on the red carpet because it's always a risk and you want to look like yourself. So that's not really the place for green eye shadow for me personally, it is for some people," laughed Gwyneth.
Gwyneth has recently been named Creative Inspiration for Max Factor, and let cameras film a behind the scenes look at her new ad campaign for the make-up giant.
Wearing a backless gown, Gwyneth's poker straight hair was tied back in a ponytail, teamed with a smoky eyed glamorous look.
"Red carpet glamour for me is about sophistication and elegance, you want to look striking. It works so well for Gwyneth in this environment because it's super glamorous.
"It just compliments the gown, the hair. Everything is just super, super glammed up," said Max Factor make-up artist Mel Arter.
Gwyneth has faced recent controversy after it was claimed a Vanity Fair article will probe into her friendship with Elle Macpherson's husband Jeff Soffer.
