Paul Rudd 'makes Crocs attractive'

Paul Rudd is the "only person in the planet" to look sexy in Crocs, according to his co-star.

The American actor stars opposite Elizabeth Banks, Emily Mortimer, Zooey Deschanel and Rashida Jones in upcoming comedy Our Idiot Brother.

Paul's character Ned wears some tasteless outfits throughout the film, but Emily says he somehow manages to pull off the unflattering look.

"I really don't think I know anyone else on the planet that can look sexy in Crocs, but somehow he manages it," she told Entertainment Tonight.

"Crocs to me are the most depressing things in existence and Paul's character Ned is a Crocophile."

Rashida agrees with the sentiment. The American actress says Paul's wardrobe for the film was unsightly to say the least.

"The mixture of the Crocs and the, like, baggy tank tops, and like the Jams - like tribal shorts - and the hair and the beard Just wrong, straight wrong," she laughed.

Paul grew facial hair and wore a wig for his role as the endearing yet meddling Ned.

The 42-year-old star found it to be a bit of a problem while filming in the uncomfortable summer heat.

"It was really hot, and I've grown beards many times, but I realised I kind of had them in winter, which is just to protect your face," he explained.

"I thought, 'When it's done, I can't wait to shave,' but I kind of wound up getting so into it that I kept it for another couple weeks."
