Pharrell Williams in awe of Jacobs
Pharrell Williams thinks Marc Jacobs and Alber Elbaz are "genius".
The singer-and-fashion-designer recognises good style everywhere he goes. He recently attended a number of top fashion shows and was delighted by what he saw.
"Every Comme des Garçons show is just perfection and Alber Elbaz is a genius, too. So is Marc Jacobs. I am so inspired by each one of them," he explained in an interview with WWD.
"They are totally imaginative. I wish to be that way one day."
Pharrell is currently writing a book called Places & Spaces I've Been with Ambra Medda, co-founder and director of Design Miami and Design Miami/Basel.
He has previously worked with Paper magazine's Kim Hastreiter, who would love to collaborate with the star again.
"He is gracious, smart, super handsome and has an amazing style and eye," she gushed.
Pharell co-founded the clothing brands Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream Footwear with Nigo, a Japanese record producer and creator of the clothing line A Bathing Ape.
He has a store in New York City.
In 2008, he co-designed a series of jewellery and glasses for Louis Vuitton.
