Prada to launch new jewellery line

Prada's new line of jewellery will be available from next month.

Designer Miuccia Prada has spent a lot of time perfecting the capsule collection, which has been created as the perfect accompaniment to the fashion house's clothes.

Miuccia decided to use some of the materials which are most associated with the brand, among them leather, studs and crocodile. The result is a collection including brooches, rings, bracelets and necklaces, according to WWD.

"The different styles span from a rock 'n' roll glossy crocodile bracelet to opulent, sparkly pendants embellished with coloured gems or resin roses," reports the site.

Prices for the pieces start at 350 euros. They will be available to buy in Prada stores from next month.

It was recently confirmed that Miuccia is one of the subjects of New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute exhibition next year. She will star alongside late designer Elsa Schiaparelli, with an installation being created which shows the two fashion powerhouses supposedly in conversation with each other.
