Quvenzhané talks red-carpet style

Quvenzhané Wallis is more open to wearing a suit on the red carpet after her campaign for Armani Junior.

The ten-year-old actress recently landed a shoot for Armani Junior, the line for youngsters helmed by iconic designer Giorgio Armani. In one of the pictures released from the campaign, Quvenzhané can be seen wearing a smart black suit, complete with an adorable puppy resting on her shoulder.

Having made various press appearances since her role in 2012's Beast of the Southern Wild, which earned her an Oscar-nomination, the budding star is now open to wearing new outfits.

“With a dress, it feels like you’re wearing a nightgown... if it feels really loose you feel free,” she told People.

“With a tuxedo, it has to fit your arms right and your legs right. I really think I would [wear a suit on the red carpet], but it depends where I’m wearing it. If it’s really fancy, I’m probably going to wear a dress, but if it’s casual but fancy, I’d wear a suit.”

While she may have landed a top modelling job, Quvenzhané doesn't put much focus on fashion away from the camera. Instead, she generally lets her mom Qulyndreia pick out her clothes for her each day.

“Quvenzhané is particular about what she puts on. She’ll say, ‘Mom, what’s the layout for the day?’ She’s concerned, but she just leaves it in my hands," Qulyndreia smiled.

Quvenzhané is in no rush to dress older than her years. High heels may be on the cards in the future, but not any time soon.

“I’m not going to wear them until I’m 15. I’m scared they’re gonna hurt my feet!” the actress exclaimed.
