Rashida Jones opts for plaid

Rashida Jones looked stunning in a plaid Oscar de la Renta dress at an awards ceremony this week.

The Celeste and Jesse Forever actress sported the on-trend multi-coloured number with a pair of bow-adorned Christian Louboutin heels. Her choice of footwear gave a feminine touch to the grunge-themed plaid dress, which she rocked at the Montblanc de la Culture Arts Patronage Ceremony.

Rashida was present at the event - held at the Chateau Marmont hotel in Los Angeles - to introduce her father Quincy Jones to the guests. Quincy was presented with the 21st annual Montblanc de la Culture Arts Patronage Award for spending "exceptional time, energy, and funds to artists and their work".

Quincy is a famed record producer, conductor, arranger, film composer, television producer and trumpeter and was honoured not for his five decades of spectacular accomplishments, but for his commitment to helping talented young people.

The 79-year-old legend received his award at an outside reception at the garden of the exclusive Chateau Marmont on a clear, crisp night with some of Hollywood's best-known names present. Among them were Sir Sidney Poitier, Morgan Freeman, Terri Hatcher, Billy Zane and Rashida.

Quincy was given a check for $20,000 to commemorate his accomplishments, which he donated to the Jazz Foundation of America, according to a report on Forbes.
