Rebel Wilson has discussed why she decided to wear a cape and a pair of wings to the 2015 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday night.

The 29-year-old actress grabbed headlines for the outfits she wore to the 2015 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday.

Rebel donned a cape on the red carpet and later in the evening she sported angel wings with the word ‘THINK’ emblazoned on her rear end and the hilarious comedienne chose the tight attire to prove a point.

"The Bella girls are all different shape and sizes and nationalities," Rebel told reporters in the press room, according to Access Hollywood. "I think one of the good messages in [Pitch Perfect] is that you’re all beautiful.”

Rebel’s wings were a visual reference to the Victoria’s Secret Angels and she loved making this association with her attire.

The star thinks voluptuous women like herself don’t need to idolise the shapes of supermodels.

"I think sometimes girls look at Victoria’s Secret models and think that they have to model themselves after that, but I really don’t think that’s the best," Rebel noted. "Even though they are called 'models' they’re not the best people to model yourself after."

Rebel also discussed the meaning of having ‘THINK’ inscribed on her buttocks.

The Pitch Perfect 2 star made it clear she was supporting intellect through this wardrobe accoutrement.

"I like to encourage girls to think, which is why I put that on my butt. It’s really about what’s up here and not what's here," Rebel said while pointing to her rear end.
