Re-create Jennifer Lopez's glossy look

Jennifer Lopez has an "ultra glossy" beauty look that begins with "great skin", says a leading make-up artist.

The stunning songstress is famed for her beautifully bronzed appearance and regularly wows with her glamorous look.

Make-up pro Jackie Tyson - who has worked with the likes of Avril Lavigne and Coldplay - says Jennifer's look is easy to re-create with a dose of inspiration from the star herself. The beauty expert says creating an even base is crucial to nailing Jennifer's show-stopping aesthetic.

"To achieve this ultra glossy look you need to begin with great skin," Jackie explained to Cover Media. "Always use skin products that are age and skin type appropriate and moisturise the skin well before starting. I like Dermalogica's skin smoothing cream.

"For a glowing skin use a moisturising base - my favourite at the moment is Extra Repair Foundation by Bobbi Brown. Apply either with a brush or fingers. Set only the T-zone with translucent powder."

Jackie says highlighting cheekbones is just as important as making sure the base is flawless.

"On the cheeks use Avon glow bronzer," she advised.

"Use the matt Medium Riviera bronzing powder under the cheekbone for contour and the warm glow iridescent bronzer above the cheekbone and over the temples, and whatever is left on the brush use around the hairline."

Jennifer regularly rocks subtle smoky eyes. Jackie has given her top tips to re-creating the smouldering look at home.

"Use a soft grey shadow right around the lash line for soft definition and use a taupe colour in the socket line and cream on the inner corners of the eye and the brow bones. Draw in your eyebrows with a soft brown pencil - I like the ones by Sisley," she revealed.

"Apply lots of mascara on the top and bottom lashes, hold the top lashes curled back as the mascara dries to enhance the flick at the corners of the eyes. My favourite mascara for this look is Spectralash by Avon."

In order to complete the look, Jackie advises keeping lips "pale".

"I love Brave by MAC for this look and then finish the lips with a slick of pale pink gloss such as MAC's cremesheen glass in Fashion Whim," Jackie, who is represented by Alchemy for the Eye, said.
