Rihanna: I'll marry Tisci

Rihanna

Rihanna has joked she'd "marry" Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci after he sent her a custom-made handbag.

The Italian designer crafted the singer's Diamonds World Tour costumes, and it seems he couldn't resist making her another highly-desirable wardrobe item.

The Barbadian beauty took to her Twitter page to share the custom-made speciality she received from the famed Givenchy frontman yesterday.

"RAW!!! #givenchy thanks Riccardo! Ok Ok I'll marry you!! #1Love (sic)," Rihanna tweeted along with a photograph showing her gift.

Riccardo sent the superstar a black box-shaped handbag he'd carefully designed according to certain aspects of Rihanna's personality.

The picture she tweeted shows the bag is covered with bright images, centred on a snapshot of the American flag, covered with large black stars.

The same star motif appears on a religious picture which is to the left of the flag, and on the right, a green plant-like image takes up the majority of the remaining space.

Earlier this month Riccardo mirrored Rihanna's appreciation of him, with the 38-year-old telling WWD dressing her was an honour.

“Rihanna represents what young and amazing means today,” Riccardo smiled. “She is punk and talented. She offers intelligence, energy and pure beauty. She is the face of her generation.”

This high praise came after Rihanna's stylist Mel Ottenberg named the Givenchy label as one which had recently caught the star's eye.

"We’re really into Givenchy, Azzedine Alaïa. We love Raf Simons; we love Lanvin; we love Jeremy Scott; we love Opening Ceremony and Kenzo," Mel said. "We got a lot of faves, but those are on the tip of my tongue right now."
