Rita Ora: I've always loved perfume

Rita Ora has been dousing herself in perfume since her school days.

The musician has become a style icon thanks to her quirky fashion sense and is the face of DKNY's MYNY fragrance.

She's always had a keen nose for perfume and can still remember her first taste of an expensive scent.

"Back when I was in school, I was always wearing some sort of fragrance, whether it was perfume, deodorant or body lotion—I always liked smelling good. My mother had a signature scent, Chanel No. 5, and she oozed glamour," the 23-year-old star recalled to luckymag.com.

"I was always stealing my mom's Chanel perfume and my friends were always asking and I said [very dramatically], 'It's Chanel.' It automatically made me cool."

Rita's DKNY adverts are fun and flirty, with the snaps showing the star holding the heart-shaped bottle while smiling and pouting.

Her look is of course immaculate in the shots and the blonde beauty's time in the limelight has taught her a lot about cosmetics.

"Sometimes I do my own make-up. I've learned a lot over the years," she smiled.

"The most important thing to do is use SPF and make sure your skin is staying hydrated with a great moisturising cream, lip balm, night cream and eye serum.

"I'm very conscious about the dark bags under my eyes so I'm always using a serum. I love the one by Fresh at the moment. I love how they use real rose petals and how, well, fresh it truly feels—it really lives up to its name."

Rita has also been dabbling with design, teaming up with Adidas on a range of sportswear. She's been promoting the pieces on her Twitter page and hopes to take her love of fashion further.

"Having my own line is what I would love to do but, you know, I wanted to test the waters first and really know what I was doing," she recently explained to MTV.

"When I was doing this line with Adidas it was really awesome because they taught me a lot of stuff."
