Rita Ora 'to be Lagerfeld muse'
Rita Ora has apparently “entranced” Karl Lagerfeld and the pair look likely to collaborate in the near future.
The British singer is renowned for her quirky style, often mixing her urban street clothes with chic designer items. Rita wowed in a custom-made Chanel dress as she performed at the Bal De La Rose Du Rocher in Monaco last month. There is speculation she impressed Chanel head designer Karl so much that she could follow in the footsteps of Florence Welch, Alexa Chung and Lily Cooper by becoming a Chanel ambassador.
“She’d be delighted with this new ‘muse’ title, and she can’t wait for the next time Karl offers to design a dress just for her!” a source told British magazine Look.
Rita, 22, was introduced to Karl by her close friend Cara Delevingne – the British model who is the face of his new capsule collection.
Rita impressed the crowd at Bal De La Rose Du Rocher in her bespoke burlesque-style gown, which was called ‘The Ora’.
Rita and Karl were apparently “inseparable” during the evening, and it has been suggested they could collaborate again in the near future.
“He looked entranced by Rita,” an onlooker revealed. “Rita’s totally different to everyone else out there at the moment and isn’t afraid to take risks with her look. It seems natural that Karl would want to dress her again very soon. Rita’s beside herself with excitement – she can’t stop talking about how amazing Karl is and how much she adores Chanel.”
Rita has made no secret of her admiration for Karl. She tweeted about meeting the fashion icon at the event and posted a photograph of them together.
“How does one talk to a legend…” she gushed, followed by, “Thank you Karl!”
The day after the fundraising event, Rita and Cara apparently visited a Chanel boutique in Monte Carlo to stock up on their favourite items.
