Robert Pattinson 'needs wig for new Twilight shoot'
Robert Pattinson will have to wear a wig while filming re-shoots for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 thanks to his newly shaved head.
The British star sheared his famous floppy locks after wrapping up shooting on the popular fantasy franchise film last year. Robert - who plays vampire Edward Cullen - has been called back to re-shoot some "technical" scenes for the final instalment of the upcoming movie.
The costume department has had to make him a wig for continuity reasons.
"The wig looks brilliant and nobody will notice," a source told British newspaper The Sun. "Robert didn't think cutting off his locks would be such a big deal."
Director Bill Condon has insisted there will be no "new scenes or dialogue" during the re-shoot on his Facebook page.
"A film is a lot like a puzzle, with each piece - each shot, no matter how brief - needing to fit exactly with the ones around it. Our Part Two puzzle is finally coming into full view, and in a few weeks we'll be heading back north to pick up some additional shots - the last tiny missing pieces," he wrote.
Robert debuted his cropped locks at the People's Choice Awards in Los Angeles earlier this year. Twilight fans were infuriated at the hunk for cutting his tresses, with some taking to Twitter to express their annoyance.
"I want to marry robert pattinson, but not whilst his heads still shaved. He needs to grow his hair back though (sic)," one tweet read.
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 is slated for a November 2012 release.
