Robin Wright's 2014 Emmy beauty secrets
Make-up artist Tricia Sawyer has spoken about creating Robin Wright's look for the 2014 Emmy Awards yesterday.
The 48-year-old actress looked incredible on the red carpet of the Nokia Theatre LA Live, with her short blonde hair styled back to show off her youthful features. She went for a natural approach with her look, and cosmetics expert Tricia Sawyer has revealed how she created the flawless finish to Robin's skin. Tricia also worked closely with the actress during filming of House of Cards, in which Robin plays politician's wife Claire Underwood.
“I began by applying Orlane Super-Moisturizing Light Cream with a sponge and pressing it into her skin, concentrating a lot under the eyes," Tricia explained to elle.com. “Then I went back with the Absolute Skin Recovery Care Eye Contour and applied that under her eyes as well. Your skin gets so stressed out going through these events that keeping it really moisturised is key to having the make-up last all night.”
In addition to her make-up, Robin stole the spotlight in her daring white backless Ralph Lauren jumpsuit. This crisp, custom-made ensemble added to the actress' simple yet striking theme, and she didn't wear any jewellery to deter attention away from the V-neck cut.
It was power stylists Kemal Harris and Karla Welch who dressed Robin for the occasion, and the preparation process was a quick one.
"We've worked together for so many years. She knows what works on my body and what doesn't. We're only there for, like, 30 minutes, and we try on three or four things," Robin told The Hollywood Reporter about getting ready with Kemal.
