Sarah Jessica Parker: I'm not an icon

Sarah Jessica Parker finds not having a walk-in closet incredibly "disappointing".

The American actress is admired the world over for her fashion-forward style and is always seen in impressive garb. Shockingly, the stunning star does not have a large closet to match her style credentials.

"One of the many disappointing things about me is that I don't [have a massive closet]," Jessica told The Sunday Times.

Sarah has become the face of many of the world's biggest fashion brands through her work in a variety of advertising campaigns, including Garnier and Gap. The 46-year-old also has her own fashion line and perfume, and has previously held the post as creative director of Halston Heritage.

Despite her work in the fashion industry, Sarah does not believe she can be classified as an idol.

"I've loved working in fashion, being a paper doll, but I would never call myself a fashion icon," she explained. "I've never shopped much."

Acknowledging that she is no longer in her 20s, Sarah is a big believer in dressing appropriately for her age. The mother-of-three says women should embrace their maturity.

"I think one can't be entirely delusional about the passing of time," Sarah explained. "I dread dropping my son at school and embarrassing him. But I encourage women to walk out the door feeling good, and that means whatever they want to put on."
