Sarah Jessica Parker warns teen son not to pick spots
Sarah Jessica Parker surprises people when she admits her hair isn’t curly.
Sarah Jessica Parker is trying to teach her 14-year-old son James to not pick his zits.
The Sex and the City icon shares James and twin daughters Marion and Tabitha, seven, with husband Matthew Broderick.
While the girls are too young to have any skincare concerns, Sarah revealed James is experiencing teenage complexion woes.
“Never pick your spots!” she told Dare magazine of one of her beauty rules. “I was talking to my son James about this recently. He’s (a teenager) and I say to him, ‘Don’t squeeze! They’ll get worse and you’ll get scars.’ Oh, and don’t pluck your eyebrows too much either!”
Sarah became a household name after playing uber stylish Carrie Bradshaw on the hit HBO series, a part that won her four Golden Globes and legions of fans.
Sarah is just as fashionable in her own life, and regularly dresses in pieces by Alexander McQueen, Gucci and Oscar de la Renta.
And just like her fabulous small screen alter ego, Sarah has ditched her curly hair in favour of a sleeker do now she’s older.
“Give your hair a break,” the 52-year-old said as another beauty rule. “Everyone thinks my hair is really curly, but it’s just wavy. It looks its best if I shower and just sleep on it. I like it because it looks healthy and feels like me. When I’m not working, I leave it and that way it gets healthy again. My go-to hairstyle is a simple pulled-back bun. I think that looks good on everyone.”
