Scarlett Johansson's party season trick is to ensure her skin looks it's "absolute best".

The flawless actress revealed the beauty items she can't live without over the festive season.

Scarlett explains how a glowing complexion can hide a multitude of sins when you've been burning the candle at both ends.

"I want my skin to look it's absolute best [during the festive season]. I use a concealer to correct my skin, then add a few pumps of Dolce & Gabbana Perfect Luminous Liquid Foundation to my moisturiser," Scarlett told the UK ELLE website. "Afterwards, I spray with a rosewater toner to finish."

The Hitchcock star continued to reveal how smelling gorgeous is an important part of her holiday beauty routine. Scarlett says fragrance makes her feel good which in turn makes her sparkle at seasonal events and parties.

"When I know I'm going to be attending holiday parties and gatherings I like to wear a really elegant but provocative scent," Scarlett teased. "I love The One which is floral, fruity and really classic."

For a really stand-out New Year's Eve look Scarlett advises going over-the-top with eye make-up. A slick of festive eye-liner is her fail safe tip to wow as you welcome in the New Year.

"I love to make my eyes really pop for New Year's. It's a sexy, festive look to ring in the New Year," Scarlett smiled. "The new Dolce & Gabbana Glam Liner is easy to apply and you can make the line as defined as you want without making a big mess!"
