Scherzinger is body confident

Nicole Scherzinger says the key to looking and feeling great is to "embrace your size".

The former Pussycat Doll has famously struggled with bulimia, but now eats healthily and works out to stay in shape.

Nicole has managed to tone her stomach into a six pack as the result of her hard work, but says this isn't the source of her body confidence.

"As women, we're always fluctuating and it's more about how you feel. We'll always want our bodies to be better,” Nicole told UK magazine Look.

"Once you embrace your size and your style and you wear clothes that make you feel confident and take care of yourself from within, you'll look and feel better on the outside."

The 35-year-old admitted it's been a long process to get her to accept her shape. After years of battling her body demons she's finally found peace with herself.

"I always thought I had a big booty when I was growing up. I tried to hide my shape and my butt, but now it's nice to see that big booties are back in!" she exclaimed. "It's important for women to celebrate their curves and individuality."

Nicole previously discussed her favourite foods. She urges anyone to allow themselves treats in moderations.

"I don't avoid carbs, no. I've been on every single kind of diet in the world and none of them work. It's just not healthy," she explained to British magazine OK!

"Eventually your body wants carbs so when you have them it sticks to you, because it's not used to carbs. That's how it was for me. Eat the carbs at breakfast and lunch but not at dinner. Be a little more conscious of that."
