Scherzinger’s seasonal sequins

Nicole Scherzinger

Nicole Scherzinger wants more women to embrace sequins this festive season.

The former Pussycat Doll is a huge fan of the Christmas party season as she loves getting dressed up. She doesn't understand why women don't go over-the-top during the festive time of year, as it's the one period where anything goes when it comes to style.

"You can't go wrong with sequins. I love sequins - they make everything more festive. I love a good scarf, a good shoe," she told the British edition of OK! magazine. "Right now I'm all about leather cut-out gloves. I got a good pair from All Saints with jewels all over. You can dress them down or put them with anything - a dress or jeans."

While she prides herself on her daring sense of style and has been known to flash the flesh on some occasions, there are certain looks Nicole draws the line at.

On stage she understands artists need to be attention grabbing, but super-tight looks just aren't a hit with her.

"I guess an entire nude unitard," she replied, when asked if there was anything she would never wear. "I don't know how great than would go - that pasty nude on my skin and it wouldn't be that flattering on the thighs, maybe."

Her view comes as something of a surprise as Nicole is a known fan of Jennifer Lopez, who has previously donned a sequinned-encrusted nude bodysuit.

"I wanted to be JLo when I was younger, so I dyed my hair blonde with streaks, but it looked green like puke. Then I had porcupine curls, as I call them, because my hair was unhealthy and breaking," she previously laughed.
