Selena Gomez dazzles in red at American Music Awards
Selena Gomez wowed the crowd at the American Music Awards on Sunday night (20Nov16) in custom red Prada.
Selena Gomez looked gorgeous in scarlet as she hit the red carpet at the American Music Awards.
The American singer-actress brought her A-game to the glitzy event held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday night (20Nov16), which was co-hosted by Gigi Hadid and Jay Pharoah, with presenters including the likes of Hailee Steinfeld, Chrissy Teigen and Bella Thorne.
Selena wore a red sleeveless Prada ball gown, while choosing to wear her hair parted down the middle and slicked back in a low ponytail. She added a little glitter with the addition of statement diamond earrings. After Selena, 24, was named Favourite Pop/Rock Female Artist, the Hands to Myself singer - making her first public appearance since taking a career hiatus earlier this year - spoke about her public struggles and how much it means to have such dedicated fans.
Another star to make a memorable style statement was Lady Gaga who walked the red carpet in a white pantsuit by Brandon Maxwell and the wide-brim hat style that she has been sporting since her new album Joanne came out in October (16).
Also proving that it is possible to wear white after Labor Day, was model Gigi, who rocked an off-the-shoulder number by Roberto Cavalli as she made her entrance, with the sheer design ensuring she flashed plenty of skin. The sartorial star amped up the ensemble with a glittering silver choker and a pop of red lipstick.
While Ariana Grande certainly made sure her red carpet look would be one for the books as she arrived. The 23-year-old dressed up her petite physique in an extremely sexy sheer lace crop top along with chic Alexander McQueen white trousers and black platform heels.
And also Ciara rocked the monochrome trend, donning a custom Stephane Rolland black and white frock which highlighted her blossoming baby bump.
“I wanted something that would be comfortable on my belly and stylistically unexpected,” said told Vogue.com of the design. “It felt young, fresh, and cool.”
