Selena Gomez shows her sultry side in a behind-the-scenes peek at her shoot for Nylon magazine.

The upcoming feature is based on the brunette's latest movie Spring Breakers, in which she plays a rebellious young girl on a vacation with friends.

The 20-year-old shows off a range of emotions in the shoot, proving her ability as an actress and style icon.

The former Disney Channel star reveals her sexy side in Jeremy Scott's Spring/Summer 13 collection for Adidas and a daring bikini.

The feature boasts the title Rebel Yell and was shot by M.S. Jarrett, while Daniela Jung took care of the immaculate styling.

Selena is shown expressing a range of emotions, from pensive to laughing, as she poses for the camera.

A black and white jacket is teamed with brighter pieces, while shorts and a baseball cap also feature.

The star wore smokey blue eyeshadow and her hair was given a slightly dishevelled look.

The shoot shows her in a completely different light to her usual, clean-cut image.

The singer-and-actress admits she had some difficulty taking on her rebellious Spring Breakers character.

"I don't think I've even had a spring break," she revealed to the magazine. "I had to have someone show me how to hold a cigarette. Harmony [Korine, director] was like, 'It's good that you don't know. Maybe that's a character trait!'"

Along with her daring new image, Selena seems to be embracing the fashion world.

During New York Fashion Week she will act as an ambassador for the Adidas NEO label and their first ever teen-curated show.
