Selena Gomez can't help "splurging" on expensive shoes and handbags.

The singer-and-actress graces the front cover of the June issue of US InStyle and has given a behind-the-scenes interview during the photoshoot. While Selena is happy to hunt down a bargain when it comes to clothes, she often splashes out on luxury bags and shoes.

"It's really funny, somebody asked me how much I spend on clothes and I really actually like being a little more cheap when it comes to my clothes, but when it comes to shoes or bags, that’s definitely where I splurge," she explained. "I love buying a really pretty bag or a nice pair of shoes, and the rest of my outfit will cost, like $20. I’m that girl for sure. I’m a sucker for shoes and handbags!”

During the interview, Selena wears a series of different outfits, including a lime green jumpsuit with floral print and a plunging sweetheart halter neckline.

The 20-year-old brunette revealed how she was challenged to expand her fashion boundaries for the InStyle shoot.

"My favourite outfit from today is the one I am wearing for this interview," she said of the jumpsuit. "Originally I was going to be wearing something similar to this but in solid purple, but I never do prints in my own personal style or on red carpet so I thought it would be fun for me to do prints for this. I always like to change it up for photoshoots and they did such a great job."

Selena went on to discuss whose beauty looks she most admires in Hollywood. The star looks up to two Oscar-winning actress when it comes to the red carpet.

"My current beauty inspirations, I have kind of been loyal to the looks I have always loved for the red carpet. I love Charlize Theron and Kate Winslet because they are so classic and it really looks like they have the best skin in the world," she gushed. "I would definitely say those are the two that I love."
