Selena Gomez debuted her collaboration with Adidas's streetwear line NEO at a special teen runway show in New York City yesterday.
The 20-year-old teen idol sat front row at the catwalk show to preview her first collection in collaboration with the NEO label.
The next generation catwalk show saw teenage bloggers take charge by styling some of the outfits that were displayed, instead of industry professionals.
The runway program included 30 looks selected by the Spring Breakers star as well as the outfits by the bloggers.
Controversy erupted at the event when a team of protestors stormed the stage and tried to hand out pamphlets about sweatshops.
This was only a brief interruption, and Selena was able to close the show as planned. She took to the stage after her designs made their debut to pose with models, dressed in a grey and pink T-shirt with complementary black and pink trainers.
During her speech, the singer-and-actress spoke about her role as a brand ambassador and style icon.
"I always encourage my fans to express themselves through fashion so it was really exciting that, for the first time at a fashion show, the looks were put together by the people who actually wear them," Selena gushed. "It was such a fun day and I think the outfits that made it on to the runway were great. There were so many looks that I want to wear myself!"
