Shailene Woodley is pleased to know she's "very fit".

The 22-year-old star is in great physical shape, partly thanks to training for her sci-fi film Divergent.

While she can't single out one feature she's particularly fond of, Shailene is pleased with her overall fitness levels.

“I guess I’m proud that I’m very fit," she revealed to Women's Health magazine.

"That’s not a physical feature, but I’m very proud that if somebody was like, ‘Alright, we’re walking to Central Park right now,’ I’d be like, ‘Let’s run to Central Park right now.’”

The star is known for her love of strange health and beauty practices and recently admitted to ingesting clay to help balance her digestive system.

She also revealed that she doesn't often buy products, preferring to make them herself.

"I'm not on Facebook or Twitter. I've never dyed my hair or had hair extensions, and I don't wear make-up other than for work. I don't even use a cellphone very often," she previously explained.

"I make my own toothpaste, my own shampoo, my own deodorant. I don't like all the chemicals they put in them.

"You can use baking soda, cinnamon, essential oils, and clay and it smells great."

She might be low maintenance, but Shailene does work with stylist Ilaria Urbinati for big red carpet events.

"Shailene is just such a special human, she really is so heaven," Ilaria gushed to "We are always on the same page, and I think she likes that I don’t try to make her look like someone she’s not, but also encourage her to try new things. For instance, we do a lot of bright colours, which was new for her."
