Simon Pegg enjoys dress up

Simon Pegg will never forget the first time he was mentioned in a fashion blog.

The British star's wit and charm mean he's constantly in demand in Hollywood. Whether he's playing a depressed psychiatrist looking for adventure in Hector and the Search for Happiness, or Scotty in Star Trek, the actor is never short of work.

To go with his bust filming schedule, Simon is often required to pose for magazine shoots - something he thoroughly enjoys as it means he can experiment with clothes.

"I'm not that adventurous fashion wise, so it's fun doing photo shoots where the stylist encourages you to wear things you wouldn't ordinarily wear.

"I wore a really nice white Lanvin suit to The World's End premiere in LA, and it was the first time I was ever mentioned in a fashion blog. They said my shirt could have done with more starch, but, 'You've got to love him for trying'. I was like, 'Yes! Two fierce guys like me!'" Simon laughed to the British edition of Glamour magazine.

As part of the magazine spread, Simon tries out a variety of looks.

A black leather DSquared2 jacket paired with an orange T-shirt and black Calvin Klein pants was a particular favourite for the 44-year-old.

"I love the slightly battered look. There's still a Goth in me somewhere from when I was a teenager," he commented.

Another look the Mission Impossible actor modelled was a coat and blanked scarf by Burberry.

"So I've been introduced to the whole concept of the 'manket', which I was unaware of," he grinned.
