Snooki: I'm into '80s style

Snooki

Snooki has confessed her love for ‘80s fashion.

The reality star is the latest famous face to wear the fabric-covered elastic hair tie, first made popular some years ago. Snooki likes keeping her long brunette locks under control with a variety of different patterned scrunchies.

"I've got scrunchies! I've been using them for about a month now,” she told Us Weekly. “They hold my hair better than elastics, and I'm obsessed with the '80s anyway."

Snooki is renowned for her love of animal print and rarely steps out in public without including it in her outfits. However, the Jersey Shore star insists she keeping her 14-month-old son Lorenzo’s wardrobe far more understated.

“The only leopard thing I carry for him is a blankie," she revealed when asked what she keeps in her Michael Kors handbag. "I don't want him to hate me when he gets older!"

Snooki is a contestant on the latest season of US TV show Dancing with the Stars. The 25-year-old star is finding the intensive training is taking a toll on her body.

"Competing on Dancing with the Stars is like boot camp. I keep Tylenol handy because my body is so sore, and Band-Aids for all my blisters,” she explained.

Snooki tends to pack a lot into her handbags. She admits to being “paranoid” about having bad breath so always travels with mint gum.

The star also recalled feeling red-faced after certain items fell out of her bag.

"I've dropped my tampons in business meetings. It's always the supersize ones too,” she cringed. “I just laugh it off, but it's really embarrassing."
