Solange Knowles: Eyebrows are everything

Solange Knowles

Solange Knowles has a simple beauty regime that focuses on ensuring her eyebrows are always neat.

The younger sister of superstar singer Beyoncé Knowles prefers an understated make-up look.

Known for her love of bright patterns and prints, Solange keeps the rest of her look simple to compensate for this.

"I'm really bad for sleeping in my make-up," Solange confessed to UK InStyle magazine. "And the only body lotion I use is Kiehl's - I'm pretty low maintenance. I do like my eyebrows to be neat though, so I buy a clear gel by Damone Roberts."

Solange likes to look unique and individual, but wouldn't sacrifice comfort for the latest trends. When it comes to her swimwear, she joked that this is one garment she likes to keep subtle.

"Marni shoes are sexy but comfortable. I've also been wearing Stuart Weitzman's woven flats," she continued.

"My favourite bikini is from American Apparel. It's simple and fuss-free - I'm not one for standing out on the beach."

Although she loves to put ensembles together, Solange denied she is always buying new things. What she will splash out on are labels by unknown designers, who appeal to her personal love for prints.

"I'm not a shopoholic. As a young, single parent I can't afford to have a shopping addiction! Shopbop.com has a great mix of price points and unknown labels," she finished.

"I recently discovered some great Australian designers. Josh Goot does interesting cuts and prints, and I love Rebecca Minkoff."
