Stars wear red to Emmys
Kate Winslet led the way for red-hot style at the 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards last night.
The British actress looked stunning in a red cap-sleeve Elie Saab dress, which showed off the beauty's curves to perfection.
The colour was also seen on Glee actress Lea Michele. The brunette star wore a chic Marchesa dress as she posed on the red carpet. The gown boasted a gorgeous low draped back that showed just enough skin, while the front was kept plain. The dress was finished with rosette sleeves that gave a playful vibe.
Red was the colour of choice for a number of other stars, including Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev, who wowed in a Donna Karan gown.
Comedienne Kathy Griffin, Kerry Washington, Friday Night Lights actress Adrianne Palicki and E! News host Giuliana Rancic also donned the statement hue.
Blue shades were also a popular choice on the red carpet.
Claire Danes wore a stunning beaded strapless gown in bright blue by Oscar de la Renta. The actress wore her hair loose to let her statement gown do the talking.
Glee beauty Dianna Agron also chose a blue Roksanda Ilincic dress and Amy Poehler donned a blue-hued frock by Peter Som.
Katie Holmes wore a blue gown which was designed by Calvin Klein's Francisco Costa. The star looked effortlessly chic in the simple gown that was clinched in at the waist and showed off her slender frame.
Christina Hendricks wowed in a Johanna Johannsson with a daringly low cut front, which showed off her famous curves to perfection.
The dress also showcased a sexy split to the star's thigh, which was a nod to her bombshell character Joan Holloway in award-winning series Mad Men.
