Taylor Swift isn’t very fond of viewing herself as a prime fashionista.

The 25-year-old Blank Space singer has a unique flair for clothing, often showing off her legs in short skirts and high heels and rounding out the outfit with a cute crop top.

But even though some may consider her one of the greatest fashionistas of all time, Taylor isn’t keen on accepting that title.

“I think I know how to put together a good outfit...But any day you’re going to admit to being a style icon is a day you need to look in the mirror and really check yourself,” she told Vanity Fair.

Taylor has recently admitted her crop top and skirt attire is somewhat of a trend she created for herself.

The star goes on outfit coordination binges every so often that seem to last for a distinct period of time.

“It’s hard to say when I decided they’re what I want to wear all the time, but I’ll make up my mind, and that’s all you’ll see me wear for two years,” she laughed to People magazine, noting she is attempting to embrace a retro vibe with her clothing of late.

“You might recall from 2012 to 2014, you didn’t see me in any outfit that didn’t look like I was straight out of the ’50s. Who knows what it’ll be next.”

In terms of makeup Taylor has been a huge fan of sporting puckered red lips for quite some time now.

One of her new favourite shades of lipstick is MAC Cosmetics’ Ruby Woo.

“It’s a staple. I was the last person to discover it,” she admitted.
